All these habitat types are the reason for the rich and diverse Birdlife of this picturesque region. For the benefit of Birdlovers we have defined the “Birding Borders” of the Klein Karoo as follows:

Western border- Montagu; Eastern Border- Uniondale; Southern Border- Outeniqua Mountains; Nortern Border- Swartberg Mountains.
